A course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. This training can help you talk to your co-workers and the community you serve. It gives you the skills to identify signs and help someone in need.
This training and assessment tools creates sustainable work practices and resilience in challenging jobs and challenging times. This program provides strategies to build the resilience of employees, teams and leaders in a way that creates optimal performance and personal wellbeing. Additionally, research suggests that resilience training can play a pivotal role in creating mentally healthy workplaces, particularly regarding protecting the long-term well-being of workers.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to help.
